Soup Kitchen Donation Needs

 

Donations can be made Monday-Thursday from 9AM-4PM and Fridays from 9AM-1PM. Please come around to the “staff only” area of our parking lot and drop items on a cart found on our loading dock, or call 864-235-3403 if you need assistance or a tax receipt. Fresh Items

  • Ground meats (including beef, turkey and chicken)

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • Sliced deli meats

  • Potatoes

  • Lettuces

  • Peppers and onions

  • Soft fruit (ex. tangerines, bananas, oranges)

  • Shredded and sliced cheese


Shelf Stable Items

  • Canned Veg-All (ex. 7-Vegetable mix)

  • Canned Baked Beans

  • Canned Yams

  • Canned Potatoes

  • Canned Carrots

  • Chicken, vegetable, and beef broth or stock

  • Better Than Bouillon (Chicken)

  • Cream of Chicken/Cream of Mushroom

  • Egg noodles

  • Short Pasta (ex. fusilli, rigatoni, or penne)

  • Canned Tomatoes (Diced, and sauce preferred)

  • Canned Fruit

  • Pasta Sauce

  • Powdered Mashed Potatoes

  • Salsa (ex. Pace)

  • Peanut butter and jelly

Please note that we cook meals from scratch in the Soup Kitchen, but we can make good use of ready-made meals such as boxed mac and cheese, ramen noodles, SpaghettiOs, Rice-a-Roni, etc. with our outreach meal program.
